When I traveled to the Dominican Republic something shifted in me that I couldn't explain. The culture, the warmth, the way people pour their whole lives into growing something extraordinary — and receive so little back. I came home knowing I had to be part of changing that. I didn't start looking for a brand. The right one found me.

As a clinical social worker, my obligation to community isn't something I leave at the door when I step into this brand. It's woven into every decision I make — including which coffee I choose to stand behind.

We partner with Samana Smiles to fund volunteer-led medical care for children in the Dominican Republic. The communities that grow this coffee deserve to see something come back to them. That's not marketing. That's duty.

As a clinical social worker, giving back isn't a brand value — it's the ethical commitment I carry into everything I do. This brand was never going to exist without a mission at its heart.
