Our Founding Spark

Original Source Collective came together around a shared belief: coffee should mean something. Not just where it’s grown or how it tastes, but what it supports, what it preserves, and what it connects.

We’re a small, intentionally diverse group with different backgrounds, priorities, and personal motivations. What unites us is a commitment to sourcing coffees with real stories, coffees shaped by place, people, and purpose. We don’t start with trends or flavor profiles. We start with origin. With heritage. With practices that have endured because they work, for the land and the communities who steward it.

In many ways, we source stories first, then the coffee. If a story doesn’t meet a certain standard of care, integrity, and meaning, it doesn’t belong here.

Giving Back, From the Start

From day one, giving back hasn’t been an add-on, it’s been part of the foundation.

Each of us is personally connected to the causes we support. Rainforest preservation matters deeply, because without healthy ecosystems, coffee simply cannot exist. Food banks matter because access to nourishment is fundamental and immediate. Samana Smiles matters to us because we’ve seen firsthand the life-changing impact of transparent, volunteer-led medical care in the Dominican Republic.

These aren’t abstract commitments. They’re personal. And while we don’t believe in overexplaining or overpromising, we do believe in acting consistently and with intention.

An Invitation, Not a Transaction

We don’t see our customers as end points, we see them as partners.

When you choose Original Source Collective, you’re choosing to participate in a slower, more thoughtful way of drinking coffee. One that values origin over urgency, quality over quantity, and connection over convenience.

We want our coffee to feel grounding. Almost functional in spirit, not because it promises quick fixes, but because it supports better mornings, clearer focus, and a deeper appreciation for where things come from.

This is coffee for people who care. Who take a moment. Who understand that when we drink with intention, we help ensure there’s coffee worth drinking in the future.

Welcome to the Collective.
